Medical doctors in Rivers State have begun a three-day warning strike in protest against attacks on their colleagues by kidnappers. State Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Doctor FURO GREEN announced the industrial action during a media briefing in Port Harcourt.
Doctor GREEN said the warning strike will elapse on Sunday, after which the NMA would embark on an indefinite strike if the kidnapped doctors were not released.
The NMA Chairman also appealed to security operatives to redouble their efforts to ensure adequate protection lives and property of residents of Rivers state.
